First week in game, do not build new houses or material mines. You need upgrade your houses to increase happiness, it is very important, because your workers will live longer if happiness is high. You also need upgrade material mines to increase earning. Ofcourse, don't for get to recuit new worker from City Hall. Please view my Town after 1 week:
You need build new buildings in order: 1-Market, 2-Police Station, 3-Fire Hall, 4-Church, 5-Restaurant, 6-Hospital, 7-School, 8-Bank, 9-Casino, 10-Brothel. After you build all buildings follow image above, you already had a basic knownegde about the game, then you can build your own town. Please remember do not build gold mines early, they are very expensive and not profit able in early game, material mines are more necessary. You can also use Market(click on top menu) to exchane materials.
